Guide
Daawid and your website
Search used to rank pages, and whoever played the keyword game best came out on top. AI apps answer questions instead. Here’s what that means for your website, your rankings and your Google profile, and what you can keep.
The short version
- Keep your website for now, but stop building it to be found. That’s moving to AI.
- Your search rankings stay as they are.
- No keyword games: you say what’s true, and every AI reads it the same way.
- Keep your Google profile and your other listings.
- Daawid adds one place that every AI can read, with your own facts, kept current by you.
What your Daawid entry is
Your entry is what you say about yourself: what you offer, what it costs, when you have time and how to reach you. Daawid publishes it as a page at daawid.com/your-name, in two formats that AI and search engines read (markdown and JSON-LD), and as a card that Claude and ChatGPT can show in a chat.
It doesn’t copy or change your website. Your entry can link to your website, and your website can link to your entry.
Should you keep your website?
Yes, for now we suggest you do. It’s your own domain, often your email address too, and it may do things worth keeping: a checkout, bookings, links people already use.
But don’t build it to be found, to win people over or for marketing anymore. That’s moving to AI, fast. Put that effort into your Daawid entry instead.
How to use both
If you don’t have a website
You don’t need one to be read by AI. Put daawid.com/your-name wherever people look for you: on your business card, in your email signature and on your profiles.
SEO and your search rankings
Your rankings don’t change
Your entry is its own page on daawid.com. Nothing on your website changes. Google doesn’t penalize the same words appearing on two sites. If both pages match a search, Google picks which one to show.
No keyword games
Daawid is built so it can’t be gamed. There are no keywords to stuff, no links to buy and no paid places. A new entry’s page waits 30 days before search engines see it, and its links to your website pass on no ranking, unless your website is verified: one DNS record you add in the console. That keeps spammers out. AI apps connected to Daawid can read your entry from the first minute.
SEO was made for ten blue links
AI apps give one answer, so the facts behind it matter more than the keywords around it. When someone asks an AI app instead of searching, the AI can read your own facts in your entry, current and in a form it reads well.
What about Google?
Google still sends most visits to websites today, and says its AI features, such as AI Overviews and AI Mode, need no extra steps beyond good SEO. So keep what works there. To be read by AI, you don’t need to play that game.
Your Google profile and other listings
Keep them. Google Maps, Apple Maps and review sites each show their own listing, and many people use them every day. Keep your name, address and phone number the same everywhere.
Daawid holds what those listings leave out: your prices, whether you take on work right now and how you want to be contacted. It’s one place you control, and every AI can read it the same way.
What Daawid can’t promise
Nobody can promise that an AI app will show you. Each app decides what it shows. Daawid makes sure that when one looks you up, it finds what you say. Your Daawid account shows how often AI apps found and opened your entry.
