These terms apply when you sign up for Daawid and publish an entry. Daawid is an open registry. Questions and support: contact@daawid.com.
Your account
You must be at least 18, and sign up with an email address that is yours. Keep access to it safe: whoever signs in with it acts for you.
Your entry
You decide what your entry says, and you answer for it, as on your own website: that it is true and current, and that you meet the duties the law gives you, such as a legal notice or tax details. Daawid doesn't check what entries declare, and each entry says what Daawid did check.
You may not publish:
- an entry for someone else, or for an organization you may not speak for, or anything that makes people think you are someone you aren't;
- false or misleading claims, scams, or anything else meant to cheat people;
- anything illegal where you are or where you offer it, including illegal goods and services, threats, hate, and what breaks someone else's rights, such as copyright or trademarks;
- other people's personal data, unless you have their consent or another right to publish it;
- malware, links to it, or text written to instruct AI apps rather than to inform people.
Your entry stays yours. You allow Daawid to store it, show it and pass it on to anyone, in every form people and AI apps read, for as long as you keep it published. Search engines and AI apps may keep what they have read, and Daawid can't call that back.
Businesses Daawid doesn't take
The AI apps that read Daawid don't allow certain trades, so Daawid doesn't take them either, even where they are legal. You may not publish an entry for a business that mainly deals in any of these, or offer any of them through your entry:
- alcohol: wine, beer and spirits shops, breweries, wineries, distilleries, bars and pubs (a restaurant, hotel or supermarket that also sells drinks is fine, and may say so);
- tobacco and nicotine, including vapes;
- weapons: firearms and their parts, ammunition, explosives, fireworks and other weapons, including pepper spray and stun guns;
- drugs and medicines: cannabis and other regulated drugs, what people use to take them, and prescription medicines (pharmacies, doctors and hospitals are fine, but an entry can't offer or promote prescription medicines);
- gambling for real money: casinos, betting and the like;
- adult content and sexual services, including sex toys and fetish products;
- counterfeit or stolen goods, piracy tools, products of protected wildlife, spyware, hidden surveillance devices and extremist merchandise;
- fake IDs and forged documents, debt relief and credit repair schemes, lending and financial services that are unregulated, deceptive or abusive, and speculative or deceptive crypto and NFT offerings.
This list follows those apps' rules, so it may grow when theirs do.
Requests from customers
If you switch on requests, Daawid delivers what customers send you. You answer them, and you are responsible for what you do with their data. Whatever you agree with a customer is between you and them: Daawid isn't a party to it.
What Daawid promises
- The same access and the same order for every AI, with no ads and no paid ranking. What counts when search orders entries is public: https://daawid.com/docs/ranking.
- An open format: you can download your entry in it at any time, and delete your entry at any time.
- These promises bind anyone who takes Daawid over, and weakening one takes 12 months' public notice.
Creating an entry costs nothing. Paid plans, which you choose yourself, are at https://daawid.com/pricing; nobody is charged without adding a card.
Reports and suspension
Anyone can report an entry, and a person at Daawid decides. If an entry breaks these terms or the law, Daawid may suspend it, at once in a serious case, and emails every owner the reason; you can reply to appeal, and a person reads every reply. If you break these terms badly, or again and again, Daawid may end your account, with 30 days' notice unless the law or the seriousness of it calls for less.
Leaving
You can delete an entry in the console at any time, and your account by writing to contact@daawid.com from its address. What stays, and for how long, is in the privacy policy: https://daawid.com/datenschutz.
No guarantee
Daawid is a young service run by one person. It comes as it is: it may be down, lose data, change or stop, so keep your own copy of your entry. If Daawid stops for good, owners hear 30 days before. Nobody can promise that an AI app finds, shows or quotes your entry, or what it says about you.
Liability
Daawid answers without limit for harm done on purpose or through gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, and wherever the law allows no limit. For slight negligence, it answers only for breaking a duty that the service depends on and that you may rely on, and then only for typical, foreseeable damage. Otherwise it doesn't answer for harm. If someone claims against Daawid because of what you published, and that is your fault, you pay the reasonable cost of dealing with it.
Changes and law
When these terms change, owners hear by email at least 15 days before, at the address they sign in with. The new terms apply from then to anyone who stays; if you don't agree, you can leave before then. Daawid takes no part in consumer dispute resolution procedures.
For readers
Reading single entries and searching are free for people and AI apps alike, within a fair limit that is the same for everyone. What an entry says comes from its owner, not from Daawid. Copying the registry in bulk, or training AI models on it, isn't covered by this: ask first. If you send a request or a report through Daawid, give your own address and say only what you believe is true.
